Meet Bre Vine
Meet PainPod Ambassador, Bre Vine, a 24-year-old cyclist based in Canberra, Australia. Bre has been cycling for approx. 4 years and competes at the Domestic and International level (UCI). She has been racing the National Road Series for over a year now and rides with Team Stepfwd Suzuki, taking out the top 10 during her time. Meanwhile in her hometown, Bre has proven her riding skills are versatile after having a clean sweep at the ACT State Championships including the ITT, Crit, Hill Climb Champs and Road races. Having raced her first UCI races back in January, Bre is excited for real-life racing to be back in full swing and for the time being has been racing the Virtual Streets with Zwift and FulGaz, where she is currently leading the Sram Send It Series and Fulgaz Tour Of Australia as part of Cycling Australia. In the next 5 years, Bre hopes to be progressing further in the UCI levels and racing internationally against the world's professional athletes and her husband.
Bre uses her PainPod 3 almost daily and swears it has become the main part of her recovery process after consistent 12-14 hour training weeks. Whilst at home, Bre starts her recovery process with a foam roll first, followed by the PainPod 3 with the Premium Pads on her legs to help promote circulation. After this she uses the Foot Pads whilst watching some good-old-fashion bike races. When Bre faces a long commute home, she will sneak into the back of the car to start her PainPod recovery process within an hour and a half of finishing a race and she will also incorporate the PainPod M on the back of her neck to help with any headaches or neck pain. This all helps her to prepare for the next long day of racing!
Bre prides herself on only promoting brands that she believes in and she proudly endorses and recommends using PainPod to everyone she can, whether it be for recovery after racing or chronic pain. "A lot of people think that to use PainPod you have to be exercising or an athlete to use it, but truth-be-told, I work full-time in an office and you'll often find me walking around with the PainPod M on the back of my neck to help with migraines and keep me from taking any medication."
Words of advice from Bre to her younger self would be, "Trust yourself and just have fun, in a year no one is going to remember you struggling on the back of a bunch during a race, so don't let that prevent you from getting out there and riding, because at the end of the day all that matters is that you tried and you had some fun whilst doing so." If you're someone wanting to get into competitive cycling, Bre's advice to you is, "It's hard and it hurts but everyone is hurting just as much, so give it all you got."
We want to say a massive thank you for all your support, Bre and we wish you all the best!
